#100DaysOfBulletJournalIdeas: 29 - Create a Distraction Log to Improve your Focus

Welcome to Day 29 of my #100DaysofBulletJournalIdeas Project!

Idea 29: The Distraction Log

The Distraction Log

A Distraction Log can be a handy way to refocus yourself if you find yourself getting distracted from what you need to do.

By taking a moment to reflect, you can recenter yourself and do what needs to be done.

To create it is simple: have a column for what you're currently doing and another for what you should be doing. This is an accountability measure where you are honest with yourself about where your focus is.

Having a Distraction Log can help you refocus by taking a moment to reflect and write down what you're doing and what you should be doing as an accountability measure.

You might not even need a specific log for this, you could just turn to your Bullet Journal, close your eyes, take a breath or two, and refocus yourself, but having a log may help incentivize you to refocus. It depends on how your mind works.

This is an older idea I shared long ago on my Instagram, but one of the reasons I'm doing this 100 day project is to give my ideas a home on my blog and expand on them further, as has been requested from me :)

P.S. If you're new to the Bullet Journal®, I recommend checking out BulletJournal.com, it was invented by Ryder Carroll. Ryder is an awesome human that walks you through how to set up your own Bullet Journal with his handy tutorial video that you can check out at BulletJournal.com!
